Zinga Goshty

“ZINGA” derived from Spanish word “Zingaro” means Gypsy – As gypsies don’t settle down at a particular place we as well don’t confine ourselves to any particular MUSIC Genre. “Music is Music” an art not to make any distinction but to feel at heart”

Shafaat Ali
( Founder of Zinga) 1963

“ZINGA” derived from Spanish word “Zingaro” means Gypsy – As gypsies don’t settle down at a particular place we as well don’t confine ourselves to any particular MUSIC Genre. “Music is Music” an art not to make any distinction but to feel at heart” Shafaat Ali 1963 What started as an amateur band by a group of college students Zinga morphed into a band consisting of family members led by Shafaat Ali and his two sisters Najma and Shehla and then joined by Shafaat ‘s wife Nighat. Zinga with their modern style of Music revolutionized the music era in the East by blending western music with traditional Bangla instruments and hence became the first POP band group of Bangladesh( formerly East Pakistan prior to 1971)

Shayan Ali

Music runs in my vein and what I learned from my father growing up under his wings has been a blessing for me. When I create music I feel his presence all the time and that’s more inspirational then anything else. My vison is to share my creation with the whole world and not just a small part of it. As my dad said” Music is Music” it has no boundaries. Our songs cross between different genres POP-Rock-Country- Ballad it follows melody and catchy tunes that will stay with our fans and listeners craving for more and that’s what makes us unique ! I am happy that I can collaborate with my brother Nahiyan and looking forward to release our new album internationally

Nahiyan Ali

Shafaat Ali’s youngest son joins his brother Shayan to carry on the torch of the family band as the lead guitarist , song writer, and vocalist in the band.

Beautiful tribute to your father!!! I love Zinga Shilpi Goshty. They were one of the first to bring in songs with performance. Tomari jeebonay is still my favorite . I loved almost all the songs and still remember the lyrics. I have been trying to search the song 'Fulay fulay dhaka bonopothay' because I would like to sing that song. Can you pls help me? Thank you.
